the traveler
in my next life
i will be
a gypsy
live in a tent
made from petals
and jewels
sing all the words
on a butterfly’s
wing
whisper secrets
to each phase
of the moon.
in my next life
i will
bear witness
paint the night
with humanity’s
folly
crunch bones
in my teeth
for sustenance
birth hope
in the form
of trees
reveal nothing
to everyone
and everything
to no one.

I’m looking for a book of poetry by you but hmmm…not seeing one yet or am I wrong? Because I really – seriously and TRULY think you need to put one out. Your writing is pure beauty.

What an inspired, authentic next life you will be living. Beautifully put.
In my next life, I will follow my soul and my conscience, instead of my whims and desires. (I’m working on it now, but I wish I’d started sooner.) Preferably, that next life will be lived on a higher plane, in a place like this beautiful Earth, but with love and kindness replacing war and anger and greed.

An entire book; a full story; each line a chapter complete. Complete.

Oooo, you do write so goodly, and it is always a treat to fest on your mind’s heart. Or is it your heart’s mind? 🙂
I feel like I’m living like a gypsy via your words, Kelly.
And your last lines are stellar!
