from a distance
this ability to soar
So few see their beauty, or their hard work, keeping our landscape clean by removing what life has released. A beautiful photograph and equally beautiful poem on so many levels.
i think all of “our abilities to fly” are often shadowed with our own self doubt, even when our paths are crowded with a cheering fans…..
There are so very many gorgeous images to see, this one really touches me deeply … and the words make it even more special if possible.
This is BEAUTIFUL! I completely resonate with the hawk, which is symbolizing seeing things as a whole (flying and seeing it all “above”) and being able to perceive the tiniest details (as in finding the tiniest source of food amidst that whole). The hawk, the turkey vulture (which I see often as well)…I love holding this image with me today and feeling the wind in my face. 🙂
stunning image and words that suit it so well.
It is an art to see beauty in everything.
Your words beautifully express the mystery.

Such a stunning image. They can be the ugliest..and most graceful of birds!
So true – I love to watch them glide so effortlessly through the sky!
being a bone-deep fan of turkey vultures and all their necessary glories, i bow to the eloquence of this image and short poem.
